Description We are in search of a Database Administrator with a strong background in SQL Server and Azure SQL Administration. This role is based in Hudson, Ohio and is an integral part of our team, ensuring the smooth operation and security of our databases. Responsibilities: • Oversee the performance tuning and optimization of our databases • Conduct regular backups and implement recovery models to secure data • Ensure high availability and plan disaster recovery options for SQL Server • Administer Azure SQL databases • Manage SQL Server DBA tasks • Collaborate with the team to solve problems and improve processes • Utilize Ansible and TerraForm tools for efficient task execution • Coordinate with the Windows Server team, especially in relation to Active Directory • Prioritize tasks effectively for optimal time management • Foster positive interpersonal and communication within the team • Take ownership of performance and its impact on the team's success. • Apply cluster analysis techniques to improve database performance and security Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator. • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server is a must. • Demonstrated skills in Optimization are required. • Experience in Cluster Analysis is necessary. • Strong background in Database Administration is essential. • Knowledge of Azure SQL Database is expected. • Familiarity with Ansible is a key requirement.
