Abacus Technology is seeking a Database Administrator to provide management and support for enterprise level databases at Picatinny Arsenal.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities Monitor database performance.Utilize SSMS/SSIS/SSRS to analyze, manipulate and build reports using data across multiple data sources.Perform SQL Server system troubleshooting and repair.Conduct backup operations of system and application databases and servers.Test, implement, and document applicable DISA STIG settings on database systems.Provide database installation, support, and development.  Develop tables, columns, triggers, stored procedures, queries, and other related database manipulation components. Develop and test legacy data migration routines to support deployment. Support sequencing diagrams and process flow development, data profiling, data analysis, and logical and physical data modeling. Ensure that database design and system capabilities meet user requirements. Monitor database usage, troubleshoot data compatibility and integrity issues, and make modifications for enhanced performance. Define and document database administration policies and procedures. Evaluate the integration of new tools or technologies based on the capabilities of the existing infrastructure. Make recommendations to management with regards to potential areas for improvement to increase efficiency. Qualifications

3+ years experience in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of database management systems.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Must be Security+ certified.  Must hold or be able to obtain: Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification.  Thorough knowledge of the software/system development life cycle (SDLC).  Experience developing tables, columns, triggers, stored procedures, and queries.  Experience monitoring database usage, troubleshooting data compatibility and integrity issues, and making modifications for enhanced performance.  Able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.  Organized, attentive to detail, and willing to pursue resolutions to issues as they arise.  Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
