Your OpportunitySecurity has become an aspect of everyone's daily lives, Stantec has user awareness training to minimize security incidents by having employees more engaged and aware. This role embodies reviewing the security of the database and the applications that the database administration team supports. Working with the teams to implement database base and application (E-Business Suite) hardening principles. Under the direction of Advanced Technology leadership, the role requires you to work independently to audit functions within the Database and related Applications, sometimes coordinating with other teams, to evaluate issues and recommend solutions from a security standpoint.
Your Key Responsibilities Apply strong concepts of database security, auditing, and application security with Enterprise Applications to achieve sufficient hardening Utilize Audit Vault and Database Firewall to effectively monitor databases. Implement Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) Security understanding and implementing best security practices. Supporting and enhancing Stantec's High Availability Architecture and disaster recovery operations. Database Backup and Recovery. Planning, Testing, and Performing software upgrades. Assisting with database loads and data conversion activities. Cloning and supporting different application environments. Resolving assigned security-specific Service requests Applying Data masking concepts Your Capabilities and Credentials Minimum of 7+ years experience providing Oracle DBA support in a LINUX/UNIX environment, of which 2 years must have been working with Oracle 19C. Minimum of 3 years providing Oracle E-Business Suite support in a UNIX environment of which 2 years must have been working with Oracle E-Business Suite versions 12.2, OIDM12c, SQL*Server 19. Extensive Oracle and Oracle E-Business Suite application experience. SQL*Server experience will be an asset. Experience with RHEL Linux is mandatory. Experience in shell scripting in a UNIX or Linux environment. Effective understanding of Data at rest and data in transit. Experience in Perl or Python programming will be considered an asset. Experience in using Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c for managing environments will be considered an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; this position requires a high degree of involvement leading meetings and regularly communicating to various stakeholders. Please note that this position will require after-hours. We are looking for team players that can work in a very dynamic and challenging environment. Experience with Azure will be an asset. Education and Experience Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience Related degree. OCP Database Security, CISSP, CCSP, and GIAC certifications will be an asset.

Additional Information Salary Range(s): Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Location Description: Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby) Min Pay Range: Lower Mainland $88,300/ Other BC Areas $83,300 Max Pay Range: Lower Mainland $128,000/ Other BC Areas $120,800 Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
