Database Developer (Targeting Analyst)

The Database Developer (Targeting Analyst) will develop and maintain extensive databases using Microsoft Excel as well as Analyst’s Notebook (or similar software program that is consistent and compatible) to parse information that will support research, development, and acquisition (RDA) that is focused on artificial intelligence and its applications with respect to U.S. Navy interests. Specific responsibilities will include: Responsibilities Create and maintain databases using appropriate software programs that support RDA efforts. Discover and identify entities of interest in efforts to establish collection methods to identify hierarchy / linkages / relationships and develop networks using appropriate software programs. Establish and maintain relationships with offices and analysts internal and external to the Command who share the same focus. Attend bi-monthly meetings with Government lead to discuss findings and collection opportunities. Attend production and workgroup meetings, as required. Qualifications Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in National Security, Regional Studies, or relevant technical academic (desired) OR: High School Degree with 6+ years of experience in a similar position. Experience: Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and translate science & technology (S&T) lexicon. Experience performing link / network analysis using applicable software programs to create networks of individuals and organizations. Demonstrated clear written and oral communications skills. Minimum one year of experience using Microsoft Office software programs Skills & Technology Used: Familiarity with managed attribution systems, unclassified, and classified resources for research. Microsoft Office Suite software programs. Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
