GovCIO is currently hiring for a Database Developer. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA and will be a fully remote position.
Responsibilities Create and maintain complex stored procedures/packages for Oracle and RedshiftCreate and maintain database schemas for Oracle and RedshiftCreate and maintain partitions in oracle to facilitate query performance and data maintenanceMaintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements.Modify existing procedures/packages to incorporate new functionalities.UNIX Shell scriptingAnalyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans.Perform code reviews and bug fixing.Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packagesComply with all required standards and processes and devise approach to ensure compliance across the team.Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems.Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team.Use of Oracle, Redshift, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, PuTTY, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux.Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolve issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the team QualificationsBachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)

8+ years of hands-on work experience8+ years of PL/SQL development experienceExperience with Redshift database Understanding and knowledge of Software Development Life CycleExcellent written and oral communication skillsMaintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situationsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyWillingness to learn and acquire new knowledgeClearance required: Ability to obtain/maintain public trustMust have been within the US for the last 5 years with no cumulative travel outside the US exceeding 6 months.Company Overview

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
