Data Engineer will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making by designing robust pipelines and ensuring high-quality data delivery. Data Engineer will work to on efficient transfer of data between systems and applications with better data management capabilities, improved operational efficiency leading to better decision making and a competitive advantage. What you’ll do + Design, develop, and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, SnapLogic and Airflow. + Build and optimize scalable data architectures on Snowflake. + Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to define data models and workflows. + Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, ensuring data quality and reliability. + Automate data processing tasks to improve operational efficiency. + Ensure compliance with data security and governance policies. + Assist in preparing requirement specifications, analyzing data, designing, and developing data-driven applications. + Resolve complex software development issues in production environments. + Utilize Python for data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks. + Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and cursors in SQL Server and PostgreSQL. + Analyze long-running queries and develop performance optimization strategies. + Utilize CI/CD tools for optimal productivity. + Collaborate with scrum teams in agile development methodologies. + Analyze, review, and alter programs to improve efficiency or adapt to new requirements. + Prepare documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. What you’ll need + Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. + 5+ years of experience in data engineering + Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). + Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies. + Experience with data governance and quality management practices. + Excellent communication skills to liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders. + Proficiency in database systems like Snowflake, PostgreSQL SQL Server and data processing frameworks/tools like Snaplogic, DBT, Spark etc. + Experience with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow. + Familiarity with data visualization tools and BI platforms. + Understanding machine learning workflows and model deployment. + Knowledge of asset management or financial services is highly desirable.
