Position TitleDatabase ManagerBroadmoor CampusPosition Summary / Career Interest:This manager position of the database team will be required to lead a team of highly technical engineers related to database administration, data management, design engineers and quality analysts. Assist with process monitoring, adherence to policies, SDLC, and promoting security best practices.
Own the development and support responsibilities for all applications and database related tasks for your team; assisting in estimations, design, development, and data support. In addition, be responsible for application and database systems architecture; relying on experience and good judgment to develop innovative solutions that enable competitive advantage.
The manager will assemble and manage teams of skilled individuals, who work in an agile environment, and are directly responsible for a facets of organization's technical products: new product rollout, maintaining existing systems, and responding to mission-critical events. In this role, the manager will be expected to collaborate regularly with members of the leadership team and other department managers. This role requires a high level of strategizing as well as managing daily implementation and maintenance services. Strategic thinking is a must.
This position will be responsible for building innovative applications to give users a smarter way to manage their businesses.Responsibilities and Essential Job FunctionsManage and lead teams in accomplishing team, department, and organizational goals. Manage creating, maintaining, and enforcing documentation related to process, procedures, standards, and best practices. Conduct code reviews of technical designs and development sources to ensure quality releases. Take ownership of the development and database related documentation. Manage activities related to the design, development, and implementation of database administration. Manage activities related to the maintenance, upgrade and support of existing applications. Ensure projects meet business goals, timelines and fulfill overall end-user requirements. Manage work assignments of team members and identify and adjust workload issues and situations. Promote policies, procedures, best practices, and adherence to security and development standards. Conduct and facilitate reoccurring team meetings promoting AGILE methodologies while collaborating with Business Analyst and Project Managers. Provide mentorship, and leadership while assisting with staff development and training. Stay abreast of current technology practices and techniques relating to database management Advise leadership in implementation options. Ensure data and application quality through validation and promoting quality control processes. Effectively communicate information of projects to ensure clear understanding of requirements and business needs. Liaise with technical services area to assisting with proper infrastructure needs and setup. Resolve and take ownership of technical issues that may arise relating to area of responsibility. Independently and proactively manages all aspects of the responsibilities listed above. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Required Education and ExperienceBachelors Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems High School Graduate 5 or more years experience in managing Database management Project Management or Project Work experience
Preferred Education and ExperienceMasters Business Administration in Business/Health Administration or related field preferred. Experience working in a medical organization Experience and knowledge in MVC, JavaScript, HTML5, AJAX, JSON
