Description
We are looking for a dedicated Datacenter Technician to join our team in Roseland, New Jersey. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, particularly multi-user servers and network equipment within our data center. You will ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure, promptly troubleshoot issues, and strictly adhere to operational protocols to maintain uptime.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, network devices, and storage systems.
• Carry out hardware diagnostic tests, repairing or replacing faulty components as required.
• Assure proper cabling and connectivity between devices.
• Regularly monitor system performance and data center environmental conditions.
• Swiftly identify and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems to higher-level support teams when necessary.
• Conduct routine system checks, updates, and patches, and support network configuration tasks.
• Keep an accurate inventory and documentation of hardware, software, and network configurations.
• Strictly adhere to data center protocols and security standards, ensuring all systems comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Work in collaboration with IT teams to implement and support data center projects.
• Provide regular updates on system health, performance, and incidents, documenting procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for knowledge sharing.
Requirements • Proficiency in Android Development, with a focus on deploying and troubleshooting Android applications.
• Working knowledge of Cisco Technologies, including the ability to configure and manage Cisco networks.
• Experience with Citrix Technologies, particularly in implementing and managing virtualization solutions.
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies, specifically in the area of servers and storage.
• Ability to manage user accounts and troubleshoot issues using Active Directory.
• Expertise in handling Apple Devices, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Backup Technologies, with an emphasis on data loss prevention.
• Experience in Configuration Management, ensuring consistency in system performance and functionality. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
