Job Overview: The DataOps Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the data dissemination operations and maintaining data products. The DataOps Engineer will be responsible for understanding and enhancing the existing data architecture, supporting regular data releases, and identifying gaps and areas for improvement. This role involves maintaining and improving ETL and other automated jobs, as well as supporting the creation and communication of the data design strategy with stakeholders.  Responsibilities:    + Data Dissemination Operations    + Establish and execute procedures for processing data and metadata inputs for data dissemination, including conducting Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) and data verification.  + Process redeliveries of corrected data and metadata during review periods.  + Maintain data products and process revised data or metadata as needed to correct problems discovered after release.  + Assist with the execution of external data releases and data removals.  + Respond to production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.  + Troubleshoot problems that may arise and restoration of full capacity operations for failed application components. Ensure high operational availability for dissemination events and other deployment activities.  + Prepare environments for new software releases to ensure current operations and product deployments are uninterrupted or unaffected.  + Support routine system maintenance or planned downtime.  + Coordinate with development teams on operational issues involving database design and implementation.  + Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of production systems, and proactively address issues.  + Database & Infrastructure Management :   + Support resolution and tuning of database systems to support dissemination operations for data and metadata.  + Support big data storing solutions, installations, and configurations while ensuring scaling needs.   + Support for database analysis, architecture, design, development, administration and capacity/storage, implementation, and operations of multi-terabytes scalable enterprise end-to-end backend database systems.  + Coordinate with infrastructure team for infrastructure changes and issues.  + Automation & Continuous Improvement:    + Design and implement automated deployment system for data deployments.  + Analyze, design, identify gaps, and implementation of dissemination automation process including data promotion, information promotion, replication, and approvals.  + Identify areas for improvement in the development and deployment processes and implement best practices.  + Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and incident reports.  Skills & Experience:    + Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, equivalent technical experience.  + Have 1-4 years experience in solution delivery, implementation, and engineering with database systems.    + Strong experience with SQL, ETL tools, and data warehousing technologies.  + Intermediate scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).  + Proficient in using Python data tools like Jupyter Notebooks, NumPy, and Pandas for data analysis and exploration.  + Experience with AWS cloud platform or equivalent (e.g. Azure, GCP).  + Experience with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CodePipeline, GitHub Actions/GitLab Runners).    + Experience with AWS serverless resources such as lambda.  + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, communication, and collaboration.  + Experience working with agile tools like Jira, Git, and Confluence.  + Understanding of building and refining ML models, leveraging Python-based toolsets to optimize performance and accuracy.  + Familiarity in identifying and engineering key features for machine learning models using libraries such as Scikit-learn.  What BLN24 brings to the Game: BLN24 benefits are game changing. We like our team to play hard and that means they need to be taken care of — physically, financially, and emotionally.
