Day Services Manager
Position Summary:
Chrysalis is a company that provides a variety of support services for at-risk adults and/or juveniles that have developmental and intellectual disabilities.  These individuals may also have a variety of fragile medical issues. This position requires the ability to work in stress-filled and safety-sensitive environments, to follow pre-approved programs, to make crucial decisions in regards to the care and treatment of at-risk individuals, and to communicate those decisions effectively to others.

The Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Chrysalis Day Services Program by supervising, instructing, modeling and assisting Direct Support Professionals in providing direct services to the people of Chrysalis.  The Manager will coordinate the development and implementation of Person Centered Plans and plan activities accordingly.  They will ensure people's medical, financial and recreational needs are met.  Managers will also ensure appropriate staff ratios and training are being fulfilled. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Punctuality and regular/consistent attendance at the worksite are required and the employee must be able adhere to their workplace schedule in order to ensure proper oversight of individuals.    Stay awake, responsive, and communicate effectively to the individualsMaintain the work schedule and appropriate staff coverageTeach individuals daily living skills, supervise individuals with taking the appropriate medicationStrategically recruit job and activity opportunities Plan appropriate activities for the individuals The ability to speak, read and write effectively in EnglishCreate opportunities for people to increase quality of life Provide a clean, healthy, and safe environmentImplement Person Centered Support Plans and Follow Behavioral PlansSupervise individuals according to the Supervision Guidelines and Support the individual’s choices accordinglyComplete necessary administrative tasks within established time framesComplete all documentation required by Chrysalis and the StateFollow the Provider Code of Conduct/ Abuse Neglect and Exploitation Policy according to state standardsAssists Director with implementation of behavior plans and Supervision Guidelines.Monitor paperwork associated with individuals in groups (including attendance, data collectionPlanning and ensuring execution of daily activities for clients, including community based activities and activities that promote learning of daily living skills.Provide adequate training for staff on their first 8 hour shift at the day programOther duties as assigned by the Director


Requirements   Be able to drive a company vehicle Minimum of least 21 years oldKeep eligible to drive under the Chrysalis Driving Requirement PolicyPass and maintain a passable criminal background check and LEIE per state regulationsPass required controlled substance testsThe ability to speak, read and write effectively in English
Experience or Education:                                              High school diploma or GED
Required Training and Certifications:Complete all initial and on-going training requirements within established time frames
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent public relations skills working with the individuals’ family Ability to communicate effectively with medical, professional, and state employeesDemonstrate good judgment and ability to handle crisis situationsHave excellent interpersonal skills working with the individual and co-workers (including the ability to stay calm and maintain professionalism under pressure)Demonstrate a service-oriented attitude
