The Day Services Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of assigned Senior Direct Support Professionals. It is the Day Services Supervisor’s responsibility to ensure overall quality, effectiveness and timeliness in service delivery and to serve as the leader of the individual program participant’s Program Planning Team. In addition, the Supervisor maintains the day services staff’s focus on maximizing both habilitation services and personalized community inclusion opportunities, as well as providing for the program participants’ overall safety and well-being.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and follow up on participants' needs and goals; maintain regular contact to understand their behavioral, social, and functional needs. Plan and implement goal-oriented activities at the center and in the community. Review and approve goals, outcomes, and community inclusion activities developed by staff. Facilitate community inclusion and relationships between participants and community members. Liaise with families, guardians, and external agencies regarding participant needs. Write and update Staff Action Plans; lead annual and semi-annual review meetings. Certify Staff Action Plans, monthly summaries, and ensure timely service documentation in Pcare. Oversee accurate collection and maintenance of service data and participant records. Supervise Senior and Direct Support Professionals, ensuring individualized support and adequate coverage. Coordinate special services and maintain program compliance with regulations. Ensure participant safety, cleanliness, and proper supervision. Maintain confidentiality and report incidents as required. Ensure adequate equipment and supplies; participate in various program activities as needed. Provide crisis intervention and advocate for participants. Assist in hiring, training, and supervising staff; ensure adherence to agency policies. Engage in professional development through trainings and workshops. Model professional behavior and adaptability, respecting cultural differences.
