Overview Design and implement a daycare program for each assigned child in coordination with other members of the Early Childhood Education team, which will promote learning and a positive self-image. Position available in the Cortland location, and with children between the ages of 3-5 years. Rate of pay: $ 17.50. Responsibilities + Plan and organize programs for children with special education teacher + Provide individual and group instruction + Provide a safe and caring environment + Provide leadership and assign tasks to paraprofessionals in classroom, as applicable + Effective communication as a member of the team, including participation in appropriate meetings + Share the educational perspective on how to address children, meet with team + Utilize problem-solving techniques to resolve differences and come to conclusion with team + Understand and utilize perspectives and techniques of other team members in program design and daily activities + Keep families fully informed of issues affecting their children and the program + Promote open communication and mutual understanding + Provide support and information that families need directly or by suing team members, other agency resources or community resources + Contribute to a positive work and learning environment for children in program as well as co-workers- must be professional, courteous, and confidential + Provide ideas and show initiative to help develop the educational setting + Keep records of children’s daily and overall progress including a report for the parent conferences + Keep daily attendance records for all assigned children + Attend training required by program regulations, including OCFS regulations, and as directed by supervisor Qualifications + Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, or related field OR + Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) and 1 year related experience,OR + 9 College credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field with a plan of study to get to CDA or Associate Degree and 2 years of experience related to caring for children Our approach to Diversity and Inclusion - "A world where all people know they belong."
