Days Blender Machine Operator
**Job Title: Blender Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are looking for a dedicated Blender Machine Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing all raw materials to the production lines, removing finished products, and lifting cases of finished goods onto pallets. This role also involves staging all resin and maintaining all blending systems. Collaboration with packers to support the production process is essential. **Responsibilities** + Collect virgin, regrind, and colorant materials to prepare the necessary formula mixtures. + Place pre-determined amounts of virgin regrind and colorants into a drum secured on the blender. + Activate the blender following all manufacturing and safety instructions. + Visually inspect the mixture for an even blend and ensure it is properly mixed. + Deliver the drum to the appropriate machine. + Perform regrinding activity and dump full bins into a regrind drum. + Inspect regrind for contamination and report any findings to the Plant Production Manager, Production Lead/Supervisor, Quality Technician, or Mechanic. + Remove excess production from manufacturing and store in the production area. + Fill in as Packer as needed, including visually inspecting moving bottles for defects, placing acceptable bottles in shipping containers, and reporting recurring non-conforming issues. + Add perform color and material changes without supervision. + Keep assigned work area clean, neat, organized, and free from safety hazards. **Essential Skills** + Material handling + Mixing + Blending + Machine operating + Filling + Compounding + Manufacturing + Packaging + General labor + Production + GMP compliance **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to recognize and understand numbers and values. + Strong mathematical ability. + Ability to visually distinguish fine variations in color and other visual defects. + Proficient hand/eye coordination to operate equipment. + Ability to make priority decisions and independent judgment calls. + Efficient use of a computer and related software. + Ability to work all shifts and required overtime. **Why Work Here?** This is a 90-day contract to hire position with room for growth and advancement. The facility is 90,000 sq feet, featuring 15 extrusion lines and 2 labeling lines. We specialize in plastic extrusion for various food and consumer products, including shampoo, lotion, and cleaning solution bottles of various sizes and colors.
