This position will report to the Director of Real Estate. Primary responsibilities involve managing construction projects within the assigned region in the United States. This position will also work closely with multiple distribution centers to resolve facility issues and support cost saving initiatives related to utilities and building operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

Manage construction budgets, specify and obtain bid proposalsProject review, coordination and manage construction schedulesManage and assist with distribution facility design, construction and repair projectsManage budget and project planning for multiple facilitiesPrepare, review and approve bid documents, drawings, purchase orders and procurement of furniture, fixtures and building equipmentReview and approve shop drawings and submittalsAssist distribution facilities with capital planning, budgets and estimatesManage major building repair projects (HVAC, ammonia refrigeration, roofing, paving, etc.)Coordinate and maintain building emergency procedures to include generator maintenance programsEvaluate and implement cost savings initiatives related to utilities and building operating processesMaintain legal and construction document files and drawingsManage large-scale material handling projects from conception to start upEnsure that projects are implemented on time, under budget and achieve stated performance objectivesAssist with new construction projectsDevelop efficient layouts, workstations and material handling systems for existing and expanded facilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A teammate in this position must:

Have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction ScienceHave 3-5 years' experience managing construction budgets and schedules is requiredHave 3-5 years' experience cost estimating and project management is requiredHave experience in commercial / industrial construction is preferredHave AutoCAD experience is preferredBe proficient in Microsoft SuiteHave strong presentation skillsHave working knowledge of building and mechanical systemsHave strong analytic, problem solving and decision-making skillsHave strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projectsHave excellent oral and written communication skills
