Essential Job Functions: Through previous background and experience, the candidate must demonstrate, with or without an accommodation, the ability to:

Work Environment: 

In addition to extensive bending, carrying, lifting (in excess of 50 pounds routinely), and climbing, the nature of this position entails constant exposure to heat, cold, dirt, dust, fumes, and noise within the warehouse. While some job duties may occasionally be conducted outdoors, the majority of work is performed indoors at one location. Risk of injury in this type of work should not be overlooked. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

May coordinate daily activities of DC Clerks and Warehouse Workers by providing instruction, guidance, and follow-up. Assist the Supervisor in monitoring the daily activities of Distribution Center partners by monitoring individual productivity, making specific recommendations to Supervisors, and providing partner feedback on performance issues.  Train new and existing Distribution Center partners on operational and safety procedures.  May also conduct equipment training (e.g. pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.). Coordinate the introduction of new merchandise into the warehouse and ensure adequate merchandise supply levels at all times. Reassign merchandise locations within the warehouse based on space and demand, and designate a section in which high-volume advertisement merchandise will be stocked for easy access and mass-order pickings. Ensure the accuracy of hand and bulk reserves, reporting any surpluses or shortages to the Supervisor. Maintain adequate supply levels (e.g. shrink wrap, stock transfer boxes, etc.). Observe and promote established safety procedures.

Nature of Supervision:

General instruction is provided on some, but not all tasks to be completed and work may be periodically checked upon completion. Non-routine tasks may be assigned which may last from one to several days with regular supervisory instruction or guidance.

Other Responsibility:

This is the highest non-exempt level job prior to the Department Manager position and as such, responsibilities include acting in a lead/supervisory capacity, including assignment delegation, instruction and monitoring daily performance but does not include authority to hire, discipline or terminate employment.  In addition, the Coordinator may solicit input toward the performance evaluations of co-workers.

Education/Experience:

A high school diploma or its equivalent (GED) and good verbal communication skills are required for this position.  Some college level courses or an AA degree are preferred. Because the nature of this position requires the leading and training others, one to two years of previous warehouse experience, to include a working knowledge of general warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.), is necessary.  In addition, computer experience using Excel and MS Word is desired, as this employee will be entering data into a spreadsheet and creating general word processing documents.

$17.15 - $28.20
