Job Summary

The DC Inventory Manager is responsible for all aspects of the bulk and grocery department product inventories and personnel management at the Natural Grocers Distribution Center. This position oversees product receiving, order pulling and bulk packaging fulfillment. The Inventory Supervisor performs and oversees the SAP Inventory Management system of the warehouse including daily tasks, product tracking, and generating reports. This position is responsible for maintaining ongoing communication with stores, transportation and purchasing.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

Oversees tracking and process completion of all purchase orders from storesProvides daily order information and direction for picking and replenishment crewsGenerates and tracks daily replenishment documents to maintain inventory rotation Manages cycle counts in grocery, bulk finish goods and raw material products Assists QA management with tracking and isolating products as neededPerforms traceability exercises and provides reports for regulatory inspectionsManages and implements corrective actions assigned by QA and SafetyTracks and records crew performance including accuracy and efficienciesHires, trains, evaluates, and develops crew members as neededConducts annual performance evaluations for department personnelProvides cross-training to staff and others for support during crewmember absencesUnderstands the Natural Grocers Employee Handbook and sets a positive example by following and enforcing all company policies Develops a work environment in the facility that promotes trust, teamwork, safety, and qualityEnsure team leads and coordinators are fulfilling all dutiesPlans, delegates, and monitors progress on work assignments and special projectsMonitors, finalizes, and approves payroll and vacations for department personnelCommunicates with store management to solve order discrepancies; assists store personnel with order questions, and receiving / tracking orders Communicates clearly with internal depts and supporting staff regarding priorities, tasks, schedule changes, and other needs in the departmentSpends a minimum of 40% of time on the floor

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ warehouse inventory management experience required.Minimum 3 years’ direct supervisor experience requiredPrevious experience with SAP or equivalent knowledge of distribution and replenishment software requiredMust be detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and meeting daily deadlines Must have strong written and verbal communication skills Must be team-oriented and flexible to changing demands Proficient in MS Office to include Excel Forklift experience required
