DC Materials Handler - Quality Assurance

Compensation Pay Range:

$20.90 - $24.15

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.  Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Perform a wide variety of job functions associated with maintaining inventory integrity and improving efficiencies throughout the distribution center.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Perform order adjustments (repicks).

Monitor, research, and resolve allocation issues in the Problem Resolution (Orders) program.

Perform inventory transfers and adjustments as needed.

Print and apply location label requests.

Request repair and replacement of RF and Vocollect units.

Review and research various reports.

Research inventory discrepancies and explains large quantity on hand adjustments.

Perform all jobs functions associated with processing stray parts.

Research and correct item numbers and locations in the LogPro Quantity Correction program.

Audit outbound parcels and inbound license plates daily and verify results.  

Perform daily audits and reconcile all items located in damage locations.

Perform all job functions associated with relabel and changeover projects which includes processing items in the "relabel" location.

Perform slotting jobs determined by the DC and the Slotting Task Force Leader.

Maintain correct rule sets and assignments.

Help maintain accurate dimensional data.

Ensure the process of safe weight on beams.

Perform all job functions associated with Factory Stock Adjustments, Factory Stock Lifts, Final Sweeps and Recalls.

Perform daily cycle counts of select Freon item numbers.

Perform a monthly inventory of critical supply items.

Cycle count each DC location at least once per trimester and perform a Return Department Verification each quarter.

Assist in maintaining ship percentage with on hand and DC shrink goals.

Keep all work areas neat and clean, including cleanup of any spills that occur while performing job duties.

Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.

Team members with experience may be designated as trainers. As a trainer, take ownership of the DC target training program ensuring that all training is conducted according to schedule, and that all documentation is complete. Explain specific job duties/functions to help ensure success of new team members, as well as to convey any departmental or procedural changes to existing team members.

All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

Basic computer skills

Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately

Desired:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Familiarity with auto parts and knowledge of the automotive warehouse and/or store industry

Working knowledge of the WMS operation systems and DC operations

Advanced computer skills

Mechanical Equipment certification

Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
