DC Project Management Associate

Description

The Defined Contribution Project Management Associate is chiefly responsible for performing functions to manage conversions and implementations of new plans and merger/acquisitions onto Milliman systems to ensure compliance with contract requirements and client expectations.  The Associate acts as the primary point of contact for the client and internal partners during the implementation, and acts as an advocate for the client within Milliman, Inc.  The Associate will work with other departments to ensure common understanding of requirements and deliverables and to ensure that plans are converted and implemented timely and accurately.  The Associate is responsible for developing and presenting Implementation calendar, conducting ongoing regular client calls and maintain client contact throughout the lifecycle of the project.  In addition, will perform quality assurance audits of all conversion activity and documentation to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and client expectations and provide frequent status reports to management.

What You Will Do

Communicate with clients, prior recordkeepers and successor recordkeepers, regarding all aspects of the implementation project. Document processes, problems and timelines for mergers/conversions/spinoffs for all project stakeholders. Monitor progress for all assigned projects and update the appropriate project management tool(s) on a proactive and timely basis. Identify and coordinate communications requirements for mergers and conversions. Analyze, audit and reconcile data for plan conversions. Test and peer-review approved plan specifications for assigned implementation projects using FIS’s Omni DC recordkeeping platform, including front-end applications. Execute the necessary asset transfer activity required for plan conversions. Provide post-conversion training for the ongoing administration team, call center and plan sponsor as needed. Act as a liaison between business and technology teams, responsible for system defect submissions and correction confirmation. Perform testing for all system enhancement and service releases. Assist with the development and/or review of Omni system enhancement requests. Identify, analyze and assist in executing improvements for any daily operational processes and procedures. Ensure final work products are of high quality, provided in a timely fashion and adhere to internal implementation guidelines, plan descriptions, and sample calculations. Ability to handle more complex plan events such as multiple plans or complex system set up

Who We Are Looking For

Required Experience and Skills

5-10 years of industry experience with an expertise in retirement plans and strong working knowledge of 401(k) plans

Preferred Qualifications

QPA certification

Personal Qualifications

Works well within a team environment and takes ownership of personal work product. Proficiency in the use of computers and other general office equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Able to productively respond to change. Excellent organization and time management skills.

Location

This role is based out of the Milliman office in Dallas, TX, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $87,000 - $177,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
