DC Supervisor - Maintenance

Ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and appearance of facility and grounds of the distribution center. Develop and maintain cost-effective procedures for repairing and maintaining all equipment and maintain high productivity standards. Communicates all maintenance issues with the DC manager, DC operations manager, and corporate DC maintenance coordinator.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance log system for all distribution center equipment and systems. This includes, but is not limited to, conveyor systems, tote repairs, compressors, pallet wrapping machines, computer cabling, etc.

Prioritize the daily workload to effectively address issues involving the facility and building grounds including structural components, electrical systems, plumbing, roofing, painting, carpentry, outside grounds maintenance, etc.

Responsible for the development, training, and daily supervision of the assistant maintenance supervisor, maintenance specialists, and custodians.

Develop and implement the project Work Log/Order repair system for team members to utilize for equipment service or repair issues.

Maintain team productivity status and develop reports on staff productivity for the DC manager.

Assist the safety supervisor in assuring all maintenance team members utilize the appropriate personal protective equipment, complete all required OSHA training, and that all DC safety issues are addressed with the highest priority. 

Responsible for all onsite construction projects, including remodels and new construction.

Assure that all outside contractors adhere to all Team O’Reilly safety policies/procedures and that the contractors complete all required corporate documents.

Use sound, cost effective bidding and procurement principles when purchasing supplies, equipment, or services for the distribution center.

Responsible for tracking purchase orders, receivables, and invoices for the maintenance department. 

Assist the DC manager in developing and planning annual capital expenditure requests.

Responsible for team member evaluations being written and delivered in a timely manner.

Operate in a safe manner for the benefit of self and others and maintain a watchful eye for unsafe practices and situations.

All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

1+ years in a maintenance/facility coordinator or supervisor position

Must be able to multitask and work well in a team environment

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Desired:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical systems (related college or technical courses in facility management may be substituted for degree)

2+ years of facility, building or distribution experience

Certified facilities manager designation

Proven record in fiscal and budgetary management

Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
