De Novo Finance Analyst
Southern Veterinary Partners (SVP) is a veterinarian owned and operated network of animal hospitals throughout the country. Our mission is to be a community of veterinary teams providing personalized care with exceptional hospitality. SVP currently owns over 400 locations, and is sponsored by a leading private equity team. SVP is developing a standalone, premium branded company of hospitals named ‘Livewell’, which provide care ranging from general practice to urgent care and specialty veterinary medicine. At this time, we have launched nine Livewells and have six additional locations to open in 2024, with another 20+ being scoped out for 2025. Our objective is to have 60+ Livewells active by end of 2026, with the aim of opening 20-30 annually going forward. SVP is seeking a highly qualified Finance Analyst to join our rapidly growing de novo team. The role will report to the De Novo Finance Director. This role will be an integral part of SVP’s De Novo team and finance team, and will be essential in scaling the Livewell brand across the US footprint. The primary responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, financial analysis, and ad hoc analyses for the De Novo leadership team. The role would be based in our Home Office in Birmingham, AL. Responsibilities: Track and analyze de novo financial results relative to expectations Create and update pro forma models to forecast upcoming de novo locations Assist in building and maintaining long-term forecast and business plan for the de novo platform Partner with business intelligence, business development and integration teams in collecting data, building reporting dashboards and developing relevant expectations for the de novo model Support research and identification of new locations across the US footprint Perform ad hoc financial analyses Clearly communicate financial results, risks, opportunities and other relevant information to de novo leadership team and finance team Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field, or MBA 2-4 years of similar work experience, preferably in multi-site retail, healthcare or banking/consulting Self-starter with strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret data, question the results, generate insights and construct solutions Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and intermediate accounting knowledge Excellent Excel skills and familiar with working with large amounts of data Strong presentation, reporting and communication skills Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment Aptitude to adapt to a fast-paced environment Benefits Work with an organization recognized as #1 in Healthcare by Newsweek’s Most Loved Workplaces in 2024.
