Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This student dealer will not be working on the gaming floor and will not be permitted in any restricted areas. In addition, the student dealer must demonstrate superior service skills by displaying energetic behaviors, maintain an upbeat and positive attitude, create positive energy with gestures and sustain enthusiasm from one interaction to the next. Additionally, the student dealer must build relationships by greeting students and instructors with a warm, friendly verbal greeting, cooperate with other trainees when assigned to the same game (Craps) and be able to stand for extended periods of time. Bending mobility is required. Must be able to speak fluently and understand English.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) required. Must be able to receive and maintain all required certifications. Specifically, the student dealer will be trained to:
Consistently display upbeat and positive attitude. This behavior must be demonstrated throughout the training process Sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Abide to company appearance standards and uniform policy. Maintain strong mathematical skills. Be knowledgeable of applicable Pennsylvania State Gaming laws and regulations. Shuffle cards (manually or by shuffle machine), spin roulette ball or send dice to customer Cut chips. Understand bet placement (to include odds), table minimums/maximums and payouts Open/close games and install fills/credits. Be aware of game security. Handle tokes. Communicate with coworkers and trainers
Additionally, the student dealer:
Must have flexible schedule and be able to attend training any day/any hours. Must be able to get along well with others and contribute to functioning as a team. Must be able to maneuver in and around training area.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Positions available include: full-time, part-time and on-call.
Physical / Mental Demands:
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and stack. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be fluent and literate in English. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality. Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke.
