DEAMS Field Support SME
Kearney & Company is currently seeking an Air Force (AF) Financial Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team for the Air Force Accounting Operations Center (AFAOC). The successful candidate will serve and interact with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Comptroller, Air Force Accounting and Finance Office-Accounting, AF Major Commands along with Space Force Field Commands and bases in support of the day-to-day operations of Financial Management. This position will require some travel. The candidate will resolve or help resolve AF financial system-related process issues, monitor/analyze historical execution associated with all commodities across Air and Space Force, and guide users through functional processes impacted by those systems. They should demonstrate impeccable attention to detail as well as solid functional end-to-end AF Financial Management accounting experience. Additional skills and responsibilities: Ability to accomplish tasks such as Help Desk ticket inquiries, scheduling and maintenance of courses, and metrics review Ability to analyze financial data using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerBI, and Access Ability to navigate AF accounting systems as well as feeder systems to perform data entry and/or data correction Ability to utilize automated methods to create and update training materials, to include lesson plans, handouts, and others Facilitate and promote Strategic Communications/Change Management activities Provide ad hoc and on-the-job training to AF Financial Managers via telephone, video-teleconference, webinar, or on-site visit (when local), to include general training for new users and functional problem areas Provide support to the other teams within SAF/FMF, e.g., surge and end of year processes Provide targeted assistance to users based on metrics, recurring critical task results, and results of other data analysis Qualifications A minimum of 3 years of financial management experience with at least 2 years of direct DEAMS experience Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. secret level security clearance (requires US Citizenship) Willingness and ability to travel as required to support sustainment activities Ability to brief and communicate effectively with senior leaders and managers Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree Experience developing, reviewing, updating, and maintaining documents for system deployment and sustainment training using specified software according to current requirement Experience in AF Funds Control, Accounting, Financial Analysis, Accounts Payable, Government Purchase Card, Defense Finance and Accounting Service Treasury Reporting, and/or Working Capital Funds Experience utilizing automated training software to translate written documentation to computer based training (CBT) scripts/courses for use as long distance sustainment training Detailed familiarity with AF Lines of Accounting and financial data elements Experience reviewing computed travel vouchers Experience reviewing miscellaneous collection and disbursement vouchers Experience with Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Azure, or High bond Experience writing or updating VBA, M, and/or SQL code Familiarity with the following systems/software and terminology preferred: Automated Contract Preparation System (ACPS), Automated Funds Management (AFM), Central Disbursing System (CDS), Contract Writing System (ConWrite), Commander's Resource Integration System (CRIS), Defense Cash Accountability System (DCAS), Defense Cash Management System (DCMS), Defense Departmental Reporting System (DDRS), Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS), Defense Transaction Interface Module (DTIM), Defense Travel System (DTS), Financial Management Suite (FMSuite), Query (BQ) General Accounting Finance System-Base Level (GAFS-BL), General Accounting and Finance System-Rehost (GAFS-R), Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS), Intra-governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC), Job Order Cost Accounting System (JOCAS), Mechanization of Contract Administration Services (MOCAS), Reserve Travel System (RTS), Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), Standard Materiel Accounting System (SMAS), Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) Overview Exclusively focused on the Government, Kearney & Company provides financial services, including auditing, consulting, and technology services. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
