Job Title: Commercial Journeyman Electrical Maintenance Technician 

Job Summary
Dean|Fluor is looking for a skilled, licensed Commercial Journeyman Electrical Maintenance Technician with a strong background in commercial and industrial electrical systems working with low to high voltage systems. Works with TTO project managers to complete various projects.

Key Responsibilities 

Install conduit, electrical equipment and fixtures in commercial and industrial settings. 

Test and troubleshoot all installed equipment and wiring using diagnostic tools such as voltmeter, megger, phase rotation meters etc.  

Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of electrical systems. 

Work with low, medium and high voltage systems. 

Provide support for electrical infrastructure installations. 

Safely utilize power tools and maintain a clean work environment. 

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s installation manuals. 

Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70 NEC, and local codes. 

Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools. 

Follow safety policies and procedures to ensure personal and team safety. 

Perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Experience 

Minimum of 4 years as a Commercial Journeyman Electrical Maintenance Technician in a commercial/industrial environment. 

Familiarity with electrical installation and repair tasks. 

Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols. 

Proficiency in using various power tools and electrical equipment. 

Experience in working with conduit installations. 

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. 

High school diploma or GED and an Electrical Journeyman license. 

Must be capable of achieving and maintaining TS/SCI security clearance. 

Ability to lift and work with equipment over six feet and work in confined spaces. 

Skills 

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical instructions, plans, and schematic diagrams. 

Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 NEC standards. 

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload with minimal supervision. 

Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective scheduling skills in a dynamic environment. 

Compliance with all city, state, and federal licensing and certification requirements. 

Additional Information 

Lifting and physical exertion are required for this position. 

Required to perform other assignments as needed. 

ABILITIES:

Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time. Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance. Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders. Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis. Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English. May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools. Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.  It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events). See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
