The Opportunity:ING’s Global Capital Markets (“GCM”) team originates, structures, and distributes all forms of public and private debt to our US institutional investor base. In line with our strategic growth ambitions in the US, and investments across the fixed income value chain, we are now looking to bolster the GCM team with a VP level originator. The candidate will be an integral part of our US investment grade initiatives and responsible for a portfolio of client relationships.Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:Help develop and strengthen GCM’ US corporate business in conjunction with the broader Capital Markets & Advisory teamsLead coverage for a portfolio of investment grade corporate DCM relationships across sectorsDrive internal discussions with the coverage banking teams to identify new business opportunitiesCoordinate and utilize a hands-on approach in all aspects of client facing materialsSupport other senior originators in the team with pitching efforts and execution of mandatesWork with the financial markets team to help identify and support solutions for our corporate clientsSupport the global GCM team’s efforts related to US$ financing opportunities for international corporatesInvolvement in all aspects of live transaction execution, from internal underwriting requests to coordination with syndicate and legalMentor and guide the work of junior team membersProfileQualifications / Education:
Minimum of BA/BSSeries 79, 63 licensesDebt capital markets experienceDesirable: MBA, CFA or similar qualificationExperience / Knowledge:Proven experience in debt capital markets with extensive financial markets knowledge and technical skillsStrong leadership capabilities and ability to build rapport with internal / external stakeholdersPossess superior client relationship, presentation / sales, written and verbal skillsProficient across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and BloombergProven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment successfully managing multiple competing demandsMust be proactive and hands-on to generate creative client solutionsBase Salary Range: $230K - $270K
