**Job Title: Debug Technician**
**Job Description**
The diagnostic technicians are responsible for diving into the guts of the computer. This is not an IT role. When a server is tested and something goes wrong, these candidates must be able to investigate and find out why. Candidates are responsible for verification testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic circuit board assemblies.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform verification testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic circuit board assemblies.
+ Log into servers under analysis via SSH to perform part of the analysis.
+ Analyze log files produced by tools running in Linux.
+ Understand and diagnose server failures, particularly those that fail at POST.
+ Utilize a good understanding of computer theory, including CPU, DIMMs, BIOS interactions.
+ Complete on-the-job training, which takes approximately three weeks to reach a level of independence.
**Essential Skills**
+ Basic knowledge of Linux.
+ Troubleshooting and debugging skills.
+ Understanding of electronics.
+ Ability to lift 25 lbs.
+ Understanding of SSH or Telnet.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.60/hr.
