Job Title: Deburrer
Job Description

A machine shop is seeking a deburrer for aerospace, defense, medical, and commercial industries. A deburrer is responsible for removing rough edges, burrs, and imperfections from metal, plastic, or other materials after the manufacturing process.

ResponsibilitiesDeburr various machined parts as instructed.Deburr threads as instructed.Package and unpackage parts.Stamp or mark parts as required.Perform saw cut operation as directed.Follow instructions of related QMS procedures and Work Instructions.Complete any and all other duties as assigned by management.Utilize hand tools for deburring, training, operating, measuring, laboring, polishing, general production, grinding, sanding, and assembly.Essential SkillsExperience utilizing hand tools in assembling, deburring, grinding, polishing, or general labor in the construction industry.Ability to comprehend and follow shop planning.Ability to read blueprints.Ability to inspect own work using calipers and/or micrometers (a plus).Knowledge of proper preservative oils (a plus).Willingness to train.Ability to lift 25 lbs.Must be able to communicate in English.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to inspect own work as directed by the quality department or shop supervision with caliper and/or micrometer (a plus).Knowledge of proper preservative oils (a plus).Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is an aerospace machine shop with over 50 CNC machines. The company manufactures parts used in jet fighters, missiles, commercial airplanes, helicopters, satellites, race cars, medical equipment, and water pumps. Candidates should be aware that some parts are used for military purposes and should not have an issue with this.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
