Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Decision Support Specialist in Tallahassee, Florida. You will be joining a team focused on transforming data into actionable insights, enabling business users to make informed decisions. This role is at the heart of the organization, bridging the gap between raw data and business needs, and creating user-friendly dashboards and reports for various stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Accurately transform large volumes of data into actionable insights through the creation of interactive dashboards and reports • Collaborate with business users to comprehend their data requirements, translate these into technical specifications, and prioritize reporting requirements • Develop and manage Business Intelligence tools, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the system • Extract data from various sources, transforming and loading it into Power BI data models, and utilizing Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) to create meaningful metrics and KPIs • Conduct data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency • Create visually appealing dashboards and reports with intuitive navigation • Optimize reports for quick loading times and scalability to handle large datasets • Provide training to end-users on how to navigate and interpret reports effectively • Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders through various communication channels • Design and implement scalable solutions that address evolving business needs within the IT landscape • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, business logic, and user guides. Requirements • Excellent communication and written communication skills for interacting with a variety of stakeholders. • Proven experience in documentation and design. • Ability to create compelling presentations. • Demonstrated leadership skills. • Experience in check processing. • Proficient in the implementation of new processes and systems. • Skilled in metric reporting and optimization. • Strong data analysis skills. • Knowledge in KPI reporting. • Degree in Computer Sciences or related field. • Ability to ensure accuracy of data and reports. • Experience in creating dashboards. • Familiarity with Business Intelligence Technologies. • Experience in API development. • Ability to prepare datasets for analysis. • Skilled in interpreting complex data. • Understanding of scalability in business processes. • Ability to translate technical data for non-technical audiences. • Proficiency in data modeling. • Experience in providing training to team members and stakeholders. • Proficiency in Power BI.
