Job Summary: 

This position represents exceptional service and genuine hospitality while assisting servers and managers with memorable member and guest dining experiences.


Responsibilities:

Greets and communicates with all members in a warm, courteous and prompt manner. Presents menu descriptions to members, demonstrating a thorough knowledge and understanding of the menu. Receives and prepares orders from members. Retrieves prepared orders and hands them to members in an expedient fashion. Smiles and shows genuine interest in the members' needs or questions and always attempts to accommodate any reasonable request. Always maintains a clean and safe dining and work area. Maintains the beverage and side stations to ensure they are wiped down and free of dirty glassware, plates, and silverware. Completes alcohol awareness and food safety programs successfully within 30 days of hire. Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards. Works effectively as a team with all departmental employees. Works a variety of shifts, as needed, to include nights, weekends and/or holidays. Maintains a clean working environment in the dining room as well as the deck patio. Assists with table maintenance and maintaining the outside of the property. Assist with organizing and cleaning storage areas around the clubhouse and keeping them stocked and maintained. Assists with handling setting up and breaking down pool parties. Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Customer service experience in a casual foodservice environment is highly preferred. Ability to read, understand and follow verbal/written instructions. Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems. Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members. Ability to understand verbal and written direction in English. High organization skills and able to handle multiple tasks.


Physical Requirements:

Standing and/or walking 100% of shift. Lifting, carrying or moving from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 50% of shift. Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching for 85% of shift. Working in an outside environment, with possibility of working in inclement weather 25% of shift.
