About the Opportunity

Our Decommissioning Projects team is a powerhouse of consultancy, engineering, and project management, tackling some of the most challenging and rewarding decommissioning projects across the globe. We partner with many international collaborators to bring solutions to some of the most high-profile nuclear challenges in Japan, Australia, Central and Eastern Europe and the UK. In the UK our clients include the civil nuclear and defence sectors, private partners and academic institutions. Our long-standing partnerships and diverse project portfolio ensure a dynamic and varied working environment.

We are a flexible global team therefore open to location that suits the right candidate, however we have offices in Birchwood, Warrington, Harwell, Oxfordshire or Scrabster, Caithness too along with many other locations.

We’re on the hunt for an Engineers/Consultants who thrives on collaboration to deliver cutting-edge technical consultancy for complex decommissioning projects. If you have a passion for decommissioning, whether it be legacy nuclear facilities or others, reactor segmentation and support systems, and excel in strategy, planning, and implementation, this role is for you. 

Your expertise in lifetime planning, engineering, radiological, regulatory, and project requirements will be crucial to the projects the team work on.

The project responsibilities will be varied and challenging throughout the project lifecycle, including definition of technical aspects in bidding strategies, through design to implementation of projects at site.

* Degree qualified or equivalent (eg HNC/HND with significant experience) in suitable discipline  Decommissioning specific experience Self-starter with a professional leadership approach and a technical background Proven experience of team working and stand alone consultant roles Good communication skills and ability to articulate information Ability to interface and liaise with key client and internal stakeholders
