Description We are offering a contract position for an Accounts Receivable & Deductions Specialist to join our team in the Purchase, New York area. As an Accounts Receivable & Deductions Specialist, you will be tasked with managing invoices, collaborating with clients, conducting deductions, and analyzing account discrepancies. You will also be utilizing accounting software for account management and reconciliation. Responsibilities: • Execute the management of over 50 daily invoices for various client accounts. • Facilitate the collection process of past due accounts through collaboration with clients via phone calls, emails, and direct meetings. • Analyze in detail any account deductions and address discrepancies in a prompt and efficient manner. • Utilize Great Plains software for managing and reconciling accounts. • Apply deductions to payments received for collections of past due accounts and update records accordingly. • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required. • Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency. • Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential for efficient management of financial data • Skilled in Data Processing to maintain accurate records and extract relevant information • Profound understanding of Accounting Functions to ensure adherence to financial standards and regulations • Expertise in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure timely and accurate payments • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes to facilitate electronic money transfer • Experience with Billing Functions to accurately issue invoices, track payments, and handle discrepancies • Ability to monitor Cash Activity to track incoming and outgoing financial transactions Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
