Defense Attache Service Field Support SME Sr

Responsibilities Guide and control workload, interact with senior executive management personnel and provide the services of a confidant, advisor, consultant, and administrative analyst supporting DASO. Closely manages DAO reconstruction projects through constant coordination with Facilities (FAC), Security (SEC), MS Logistics (MS LOG), Chief Information Office (CIO), and DAO Personnel. Coordinates between DAOs and FAC/SEC/MS LOG offices to implement/ expedite repairs to failing systems within DAO suites, such as alarms, HVACs, locking mechanisms, red light systems, etc.. Works closely with CIO/MS LOG to facilitate the delivery and setup of information technology (IT) and communication systems to DAOs to improve the efficiency of DAO personnel. Responsible for monitoring and implementing the DAS Full Spectrum Staff Assistance Program through close coordination with DAS Regional Geographic Divisions and MS LOG Forwards Support Base (FSB) personnel. Provides guidance and expertise to DAO Operations Coordinators (OPSCOs) on all matters related to policy and proper operation of a Defense Attaché Office. Facilitates all aspects of the Foreign Service National (FSN) Driver Training program aimed at providing enhanced driving skills to over two hundred DAO FSN Drivers from on hundred forty foreign countries. Facilitates HQ level approvals for adjustments and rightsizing of DAS Vehicle Fleet through coordination and engagement with MS LOG, the DAS Geographic Division, and over 250 DAOs worldwide. Coordinates on DAO Housing Program issues. Prepare letters and memoranda, answering routine correspondence, preparing reports, interfacing, and coordinating with internal and external customers and assessing work to greatest effect. Proofread and edit documents for correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and format. Consolidating and finalizing information for various reports in accordance with establishes policies, procedures, and government regulation. Collect and summarize information from files and other documents for supervisors or other staff members use in responding to government inquiries. Review and process incoming and outgoing correspondence, report, presentations, materials, publications, regulations, and directives. Ensure orderly flow of activities and projects in the office including following up on routine items and project deadlines, plan including coordinate arrangements for conferences and meetings. Respond to routine inquiries and provides information and materials. Understand DoD planning, programming, budgeting, and finding processes to support DASO missions in worldwide locations. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Possess 15 years of Military or Defense Attaché or Department State experience as an OPSCO or OPSNCO qualifying for the respective position and possession of High School Diploma, or ten (10) years of Military or Defense Attaché experience or Department State experience as OPSCO or OPSNCO qualifying for the respective position and possession of an Associates’ college/university degree relevant to qualifications of position, or five (5) years of Military or Defense Attaché experience or Department of State experience as an OPSCO or OPSNCO qualifying for the respective position and possession of a Bachelor’s college/university degree relevant to qualifications of position. Certification Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or an equivalent certification. (DESIRED) Clearance TS-SCI with CIP Experience Previous service in the DAS, supporting DAS, or successful completion of JMAS (Required) Previous service with or supporting the Department of State as a Community Liaison Officer (Desired) Attaché Training Support Program (ATSP) course Performing assigned duties in a secure operating environment or controlled space. Proven experience in solving challenging technical problems.
