Description Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement has a unique opportunity to join a highly reputable law firm as the sole attorney with the newly established Defense Asbestos & Mass Tort Litigation team.in Greater Boston. + Key Responsibilities + Conduct thorough legal research on matters relating to asbestos and toxic tort litigation. + Draft and review complex pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents. + Provide strategic counsel and representation to clients during all stages of the litigation process, including depositions, mediations, and trials. + Collaborate with clients to develop tailored defense strategies that meet case objectives, deadlines, and budget constraints. + Engage in effective communication with opposing counsel, co-defendants, and other key parties to facilitate settlements or coordinate defense efforts. + Prepare for and advocate on behalf of clients during court proceedings, arbitrations, and other litigation events. + Contribute to the firm’s operational growth by establishing best practices for the new Defense Asbestos & Mass Tort group, cementing the firm’s footing in this high-demand area. Requirements Requirements + Active Massachusetts Bar License (required). + 3–5 years of litigation experience focused on defense asbestos and/or toxic tort cases (required). + Proven ability to handle complex civil litigation cases, from inception through resolution or trial. + Strong understanding of Massachusetts procedural rules for litigation matters in this practice area (preferred). + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on client interaction and negotiation strategies. + Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with the flexibility to build and optimize new workflows.
