Defense Project Manager

The Project Manager will manage multiple projects and teams to ensure project goals are achieved. The 
role will interact with multiple cross functional teams and customers. The Project Manager will lead a 
project team from inception to completion.

As a Project Manager, you will:

 Manage business aspects of multiple concurrent projects and ensuring financial targets and
timing are met while maintaining established quality standardsManage, train, coach, and mentor project team related to their job responsibilities. Plan,
schedule, and oversee coordinator activities and monitor project(s) statusActively maintain customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and quality of service.
• Managing all activities associated with materials, budgeting, and production for assigned
project(s)Act as liaison with the customer and project staff to properly identify and process scope
changes, address issues and communicate regarding project milestonesManaging project related correspondence and documents through designated document
management systemsEnsuring adherence to Roush’s standards of quality, safety, and best practices along with
customer specific requirementsDirect and manage coordination groups that assign goals for subcontractorsDevelop and execute large project plans. Manage day-to-day build operations supporting
department management. Manage the execution of continuous quality improvement 
activitiesCollect data from customers, suppliers, Bill of Material, and other resources to prepare
presentations and reports. Review project status daily and report percentage of completion

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or EngineeringMinimum of 2 years of coordination experience with 2 years of formal or informal 
leadership experience Experience in program management practices and execution for government and defense industry and working with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)U.S. CitizenProven customer relationship skills including the ability to interpret customer requests and
deliverablesPossess excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively host 
presentations and work with cross functional teamsExpert skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Project. Microsoft Excel is a large part of job
responsibilitiesMust have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to follow directions and
prioritize a wide range of assignmentsMust be able to work overtime/weekendsAbility to obtain security clearance, minimum secret level

Successful candidates may also have: 

 Project Management Professional certification Working knowledge of program management tools and processes Knowledge and experience in setting up low volume manufacturing and quality processes for a   defense wiring harness businessDeveloping and optimizing wiring harness work instructions
