Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit In support of the mission of UNC Greensboro, the University Registrar’s Office fosters student success and cultivates exemplary student experiences for all University constituents related to academic records, policies, and regulations. Position Summary Reporting to the Senior Assistant Registrar for Academic Infrastructure, the Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with the Degree Works team to ensure delivery of existing services and the development of new functionality and services in Degree Works. To that end, this position builds, scribes, and modifies degree requirements in Degree Works; assists with testing degree audits and enhancements, provides customer service/functional support to students, faculty and staff, assists with the roll out Degree Works enhancements to campus constituents, and assists with special projects. This position is also responsible for documenting processes related to Degree Works. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, math, or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor’s degree and some computer coursework from an regionally accredited institution and one (1) year of experience in business application consulting or development; or Associate’s degree in Computer Programming and one (1) year of experience in application consulting or development or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Banner experience, two (2) years of experience in a Registrar’s Office, and Three (3) years of experience working directly with Degree Works using Scribe, SureCode, and Transit.

Key Responsibility Analyze, build, scribe, modify, and test the degree requirements in Degree Works for undergraduate academic programs (production and test). Essential Tasks Review program revisions received from the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (UCC) and translate revisions that need to be made in Degree Works. Enter information from Banner into Degree Works using Scribe, Sure Code, and Transit. Once the coding of new requirements is completed through Scribe, use the application to parse the requirements to update the degree evaluation in real time. Collaborate with the Degree Works team to resolve system issues once the information is applied in the various systems. Key Responsibility Test functionality in the Degree Works system (degree audit and Transfer Equivalency). Essential Tasks Assist with testing for Degree Works related projects. Follow test plans with test scenarios. Verify the accuracy of upgrades and system changes by testing degree audits and applications processes. Key Responsibility Customer Service Essential Tasks Serve as a resource for Degree Works for undergraduate academic programs regarding translation of academic requirements, policies, and procedures related to the Degree Works system (degree audit and Transfer Equivalency). Assist with responding to inquires received via the generic Degree Works email account.
