The Deli/Pizza Cook will take customer or catering orders and prepare food as ordered. Hours are 6:00am-2:30pm M-F What You'll Do: + Take customer orders and portion, arrange, garnish, and serve food to patrons + Prepare cut, grilled, or roasted vegetables for sandwich station + Prepare condiments, spreads, and meat salads for sandwiches according to recipes + Prepare cold foods for the Sandwich Station and Grab and Go + Slice meats and cheeses + Set up Pizza station using appropriate meats, cheeses, and vegetables + Make Pizzas for lunch service + Prepare individual and cauliflower crust pizzas to order as needed + Check with Head or Assistant Chef for catering or other needs + Use food cost control methods to stay within budget + Follow all safety rules and actively prevent accidents + Clean workstation following daily and weekly cleaning charts + Substitute for or assist other cooks during breaks, emergencies, or rush periods + Assist with food preparation and service in other areas of the kitchen + Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed We're Looking For: + Completion of culinary school, hospitality certification, or equivalent work experience + 2 years of cold food preparation experience + 2 years providing excellent customer service + High school diploma or equivalent + Ability to obtain an Idaho Food Handler Certificate + Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English + Ability to correctly and safely use standard kitchen equipment (e.g. knives, convection ovens, slicing machines, steamers, mandolins, grills, deep fryers, and broilers) + Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for food preparation + Ability to accept criticism + Ability to work calmly and effectively during high-stress situations + Knowledge and use of food cost control methods + Ability to prepare food orders concurrently, to individual order, exhibition-style + Ability to merchandise and present service stations and catering foods in a visually appealing manner + Ability to prepare and attractively present cold foods for catering
