Under the direction of the Deli Department Manager, responsible for working closely with all Deli Service Counter associates in an effort to keep the service counter stocked, full of fresh product.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads, supports and reinforces Festival culture, guest service and performance expectations Maintains adequate staff levels by partnering with Human Resources Manager interviewing applicants and extending job offers to qualified candidatesResponsible for the thorough and consistent training and leadership of new Deli associates Responsible for completion of weekly associate evaluation of company standard in guest service expectations (Ten Tile)Provides exceptional services to all guests and leads by example amongst teamAssists guests with finding items they are looking for on or off the sales floorAnswers the telephone and assists guests using proper phone etiquetteAddresses guest concerns and resolves issues when a guest is not satisfied with the service or product received, if in need further assistance, bring concern to Deli ManagerManages presentation of service case, ensuring consistent product attractiveness Manages service counter inventory and temperature logs Assists all department associates with daily responsibilities while leading by exampleContributes to overall cleanliness of the department by sanitizing, organizing work areas, shelving, and sales floor as neededEnsures all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% at 10AM and 5PMRegular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absencesOther duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience3+ of leadership experience (at least 1 years as manager) - retail or restaurant preferredAbility to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnelGood oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle a diverse crew in a highly stressful environmentComplete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policiesMust possess the ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises. Also requires proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures: slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, balerKnowledge of the retail food business, thorough knowledge of perishable department operations, merchandising skills, and must be able to make timely and effective decisions

WORK SCHEDULE

The Deli Service Counter Manager is a full time, hourly positionThe shift to be worked may be a morning shift, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
