Delivery Driver

Welcome Home!We’re more than Canada’s largest independent hardware and building supplies retailer—we’re part of communities across the nation.  Driven by Customer Service and Safety  As a Delivery Driver, you will support the daily operations of customer deliveries and vendor pick-ups, while coordinating the related workflows and processes to ensure a positive customer experience. Led by the Manager, Furniture Store, this opportunity suits someone with a strong focus on customer service and driver safety.  Please note that is a 4-month term position.  The successful candidate must be available for the following hours: Weekdays – 8:00am to 6:00pmSaturdays – 8:00am to 6:00pmReady to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how:  Driver of delivery vehicle; responsible for leading daily delivery operations and processes to ensure efficiencies. Work closely with the Delivery Coordinator and Shipping & Receiving Coordinator keeping open communication throughout the day on delivery status.  Organize all paperwork and specific requirements for each delivery.Report any defects or customer issues immediately to Store Manager and/or Delivery Coordinator. Proper loading and unloading of trucks to ensure proper safe lifting techniques and minimal product damage.Assist with product assembly, maintain cleanliness of truck, warehouse, and store, as well as proper inventory and organization of required tools and equipment.  Assist in moving furniture displays and relocation of product within the store, warehouse, and stock areas.Comply with all health and safety regulations.  Report any potential hazards and unsafe behavior to management. Complete daily trip and vehicle inspections to comply with health and safety standards. Provide assistance on special projects, assist with customer carry out as directed by the Store Manager.
