About the roleTo provide direction and lead a data warehouse team responsible for the full product lifecycle of the software components in the central warehouse, to ensure successful delivery of the required functionality and maintenance related tasks within the Capitec Bank Data Operations.
Oversee the ongoing drive to increase efficiency, optimisation, innovation and people development in these environments.
Minimum Experience Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational At least 5 to 7 years’ engineering experience in data warehouse software development or at least 4 years engineering and 2 years’ experience in leading a technical team. Experience in warehousing, databases and stored procedure development Stakeholder relationship engagement and management Responsibility for delivery in a fast moving environment Incident and Problem management Work allocation, priority setting and delivery management Banking industry experience Business analysis and design Project Management principles and methodologies Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Technology requirements: SQL, AWS Redshift, Airflow, Control M, Power Bi, Jira Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred) Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Technology - Programming Knowledge Kimball methodology Warehouse data processing Agile principles and methodologies General business acumen Banking industry Budgeting and accounting principles Business analysis and design Project Management principles and methodologies Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Conditions of Employment Clear criminal and credit record
