Orchestrates the seamless and timely delivery of initiatives, consistently aligning the work with customer needs and values while flexibly adapting the approach based on the initiative. With a deep understanding of agile and traditional project management methodologies, this role drives excellence in delivery, ensuring satisfaction and fostering-long term customer relationships.
Essential Functions:
Embrace adaptive leadership techniques to manage teams effectively in an environment that requires flexibility and responsiveness to change
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by implementing feedback loops and fostering a learning environment that promotes the evolution of delivery practices
Ensure that delivery aligns with the overall strategic objectives of the organization, integrating agile and project management principles into the broader organization
Prioritize customer needs and value, ensuring that deliverables are outcome focused and aligned with organizational metrics
Ability to adapt between agile and traditional project management approaches, meaning that you may serve as a scrum master for a period of time and more of a traditional project manager on another initiative. Flexibility to meet the needs is critical in this role.
Foster open communication and collaboration with stakeholders to understand evolving needs and preferences, integrating their feedback into the delivery process
Proactively identify potential risks and obstacles that might affect customer satisfaction, implementing strategies that prioritize customer value while mitigating risks effectively
Provide transparent and comprehensive reporting to stakeholders, highlighting the value generated through the initiative and demonstrating how it aligns with overarching objectives
Customize agile ceremonies to fit the specific needs of the stakeholders, ensuring that these ceremonies serve the purpose of delivering value and fostering satisfaction
Manages overall scope and budget for initiatives that take a traditional approach
Accountable for communication; providing status, clarifying concerns and highlighting issues.
Manage and optimize the flow of value across all initiatives
Contributes to establishing best practices for the transformation team.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Demonstrated experience leveraging and leading Agile Frameworks
Demonstrated experience leveraging traditional I.T. projects and leading them with traditional project management skills (“waterfall”)
Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with both IT and business leadership - collaborate and work across the organization
Active listener and supportive of teams in problem identification and decision making
Tactful diplomat able to work well with diverse personalities, cultures, and backgrounds
Self-motivated and autonomous worker with bias for action and adaptation toward strategic goals
Agile servant leader focused on value flow, facilitation, innovation, and continuous improvement
Teaching and coaching skills, leveraged to promote team development and growth
Excellent facilitation skills for groups of 10 - 300+ people
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with demonstrated relationship-building skills
Leadership and organizational abilities with strong attention to detail
Bachelor's Degree required
Five or more years of experience managing and/or delivering IT related solutions to meet business needs using Agile values and traditional project management practices required
