About the role
Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for an Operations Delivery Lead to manage the applications operations and delivery in our Applications Management unit. You will be responsible for the demand intake process, resource planning, and financial and budget management for the operations of our solution enhancements and projects. In addition, you will drive continuous process improvements for our application operations. As a direct report to the VP of Applications Management, this position actively steers relationships with external operations partners and internal stakeholders. Your subject matter expertise will guide our teams, and drive a forward-thinking and scalable strategy for a highly performing applications delivery unit.
Key responsibilities include
Report directly to the VP of Applications Management as the lead for the successful operations delivery of our IT solutions Oversee and manage the demand intake process for enhancements and projects Closely align demand and requirements process with digital business-facing stakeholders, continuously striving for maximum efficiency Ensure transparency of the demand pipeline, balancing business requirements with internal and external resource availability Ensure efficient allocation of internal and external resources for the successful delivery of enhancements and projects Plan and schedule enhancements and projects in close alignment with digital business-facing stakeholders Manage the financial planning and budgeting for the application operations and delivery and ensure cost control/optimization Identify skill gaps and strategies to ensure a skilled staffing pool Steer and monitor external vendor(s) for the successful provisioning of Operations Delivery capacity and services Drive continuous process improvement across the application operation processes and implement best practices Foster a culture and practices of automation, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and collaboration together with our DevOps engineers, and test and release management experts Provide reports to senior management on operational matters, ensuring transparency and alignment
About you
Graduate degree in IT/technology, computer science, engineering, business administration or a comparable field Proficient in English, both written and verbal. 7-10 years of relevant experience in application operations, applications delivery management or similar with a strong focus on SAP Additional Salesforce expertise is highly beneficial Deep understanding of software development, deployment processes, and operational best practices Deep expertise in budget and resource management for applications operations and delivery teams Extensive experience working with external vendors and managing outsourcing agreements incl. SLAs Significant experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP) and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) Significant experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g. Git), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, etc.) Demonstrated success in driving change collaboratively on a global scale; acting as SME where required Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners Skills to create internal and external partnerships/networks across the organization with technical and non-technical stakeholders Independent and self-driven personality with strong analytical skills and techniques Exhibits a passion for digital technology and innovation, constantly seeking new and creative solutions to enhance processes, decision-making and user experiences Embraces agile methodologies and flexible thinking to adapt to changing digital trends and business needs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning Is a true team player, supporting their colleagues by sharing knowledge and experience and is committed to joint team success Possesses good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking Capable of effecting communication, conveying complex problems clearly and persuasively to internal and external stakeholders Puts a strong emphasis on teamwork and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across different levels of the organization and with external partners Maintains focus and composure in the face of setbacks, showing resilience and the ability to pivot strategies as necessary in response to new challenges and opportunities
