Demand Forecaster - FLEX - HYBRID
Job Description

The Forecaster – FLEX is a dynamic and permanent role, stepping in to support for interim coverage of a replenishment business by creating gross demand plans and managing the department’s replenishment assortment. Flex roles will be a recommended entry into RP Forecasting and will create an optimal transition as defined AOR positions become available shortening the learning curve by placing pre-trained individuals into existing roles. The forecaster collaborates with business partners to achieve financial objectives, maintain in stock targets and running efficient inventory. As a member of the team, the forecaster shares accountability to meet and exceed departmental sales volume and supporting merch margin. 
 

A day in the life… 

Create strategic demand forecasts for RP assortment at SKU/Location/Week 

Apply an understanding of the needs, wants and expectations of the customer to drive the replenishment merchandising strategy. 

Collaborate with merchant partners to create optimal demand forecasts that maximize results through replenishment and align with the merchandise strategy. 

Seek opportunities to drive replenishment and improve item performance. 

Perform weekly analysis and influence decision-making to improve replenishment sales and inventory results that complement the total assortment. 

Demonstrate proficiency in applicable systems, including replenishment demand forecasting, reporting and division-specific tools. 

You own this if you have… 

Experience with retail forecasting tools and methods. Oracle merchandising foundation experience and/or Retail Demand Forecast (RDF) experience preferred, not required. 

Minimum 1-3 years experience in retail merchandise Planning and Analysis, Inventory Management or equivalent required. 

Experience supporting a high sales volume category (high SKU count and heavy seasonality preferred. 

Ability to style flex based on the business you are supporting. 

Demonstrated understanding of retail and the service environment of Nordstrom required. 

Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and coworkers. 

Proficiency in MS Office suite required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams). 

Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills required.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $92,000 - $155,000 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
