WHAT YOU WILL DO:

\n\n

The Demand Planner will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s chemical product inventory levels to ensure a sufficient supply of products to meet business and customer needs by maintaining a constant relationship with the sales, finance, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to understand and react to the demand forecasting drivers. Requires above average competency in understanding and use of D365.

\n\nServes as the owner of the plan or forecast and drives the overall definition plan and incorporates the business drivers into the plan (e.g., forecast, budget).\nDrives understanding of what is required to achieve plan (e.g., sales resources, collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment, budget, engineering changes).\nPerforms data analyses to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights to develop new forecasting models and improving existing models.\nDevelops short and long term (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly) demand forecasts to assist business management in developing business and sales plans for key market maker accounts.\nPartners closely with Marketing, Finance, and/or Operations to drive optimal short and long-term demand plans to achieve financial and operations targets.\nDefines forecast key performance indicators (KPIs), tracks forecast performance, and develops plans to continually improve performance.\nDrives supply-demand match and mitigation plans for capacity gaps, as well as what-if scenarios to support decision making with a Service and a profit and loss (P&L) mindset.\nServes as a subject matter expert to deliver on capacity plans.\nCollaborates with others and helps lead others to leverage data to identify pockets of opportunity to apply algorithms to improve a solution to a business problem.\nConsistently leverages knowledge of techniques to optimize analysis using algorithms. Uses statistical analysis tools or modifies existing tools for evaluating and leveraging Machine Learning models for demand planning usage.\nCalibrates metrics to support decision making for data (e.g., gaining awareness of metrics and use of metrics).\nLeverages industry standard demand planning methodologies such as machine learning and customer level forecasting to drive more predictability for the Commercial business.\nIdentifies, communicates, and actively mitigates capacity risk. Determines prioritization and criticality during demand or supply events (e.g., quality, reliability, execution delays).\nManages risk to financial plans, sales, and/or margins.\nCreates the correct buffer and inventory strategy to manage risk.\nCollecting data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand.\nProvide input to the supply planning organization in developing strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.\nMonitor and ensure product min-max inventory levels at all warehouses (NLR, KLR, Chattanooga, Hayward, Dallas) are maintained in sufficient quantities to meet customer needs.\nAssist Operations to develop production schedules for KLR and NLR based on incoming sales orders and warehouse inventory levels.\nBuild the process for demand planning, select the software to integrate with D365\nAssist Customer Service Reps and members of the Account Management Team as needed to:\n\nTrouble-shoot Sales Order issues.\nSelection of warehouse for delivery origin based on costs and other applicable criteria.\nExpedite deliveries.\nAddress customer delivery criteria and other questions.\nPrepare inventory movement reports as requested.\nCommunicate updates of inventory related issues to all applicable parties.\nAssist in trouble-shooting inventory issues at all warehouses.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n\n\n\n

YOUR MUST HAVES:

\n\n\nMust be 18 years of age or older.\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field\n4 years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting)\n1-2 years’ minimum experience working in D-365 ERP systems.\nStrong analytical capabilities.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong computer skills with proficiency in tools such as D365, Cogsy, RapidResponse, Luminate, or SAP\nStrong math skills.\nExcellent organizational & presentation skills.\nPrioritization & time management skills.\nCapability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong business discernment & judgement.\nInfluence decisions by working across different organizational functions beyond the supply chain.\nAnalysis & problem-solving skills such as the ability to question, accurately identify a need, & present an effective solution.\nWork as a team & independently.\nTranslate numbers & data into reliable information & insight.\nExerts confidence & accountability.\n\n\n

OUR ENVIRONMENT:

\n

Primary work environment for this position will be in an office setting in the North Little Rock, AR SFCI facility. Normal hours are typically 8:30am-5:30pm Due to the pivotal role of this position, engaging in business activities may occasionally extend beyond the typical eight-to-five ‘in-office’ hours. There may be occasional lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling or carrying.
