GENERAL FUNCTION
Reporting to the AFA Senior Planning Manager, the AFA Planner is responsible for contributing to the profit and growth of the AFA (apparel, footwear, accessories) North America Wholesale subsidiary for both Oakley & Costa Del Mar brands. The core function entails working cross-functionally and collaboratively with internal/external teams to create production forecasts across a variety of products and business verticals. Plans purchases and manages inventory to achieve financial objectives and works closely with Sales Ops, Product/Merchandising, Sales, Logistics, and Corporate Planning. Through effective business management, metrics reporting, data analysis and results tracking, the Planner ensures Luxottica provides consistently excellent service to our customers.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop & maintain item level forecasts by reviewing historical sales data and market trends Manage OTB and meet financial targets/productivity metrics at the SKU level for performance, sales, and inventory Communicate excess, over-solds, and MOQ stock requirements to internal parties Monitors fulfillment activities and proactively manages exceptions for inventory shortages and delays Research backorder/out of stock issues and work with Supply Chain & Sales Ops to rectify Collaborate with local Sales and Merchandising teams to plan for new collections Prepare, report and present demand planning KPIs and work with cross-functional teams to improve performance Consolidate requirements for SMU (special make up) collections and align with various internal stakeholders on production schedule Develop new and manage established reports for open orders, pre-books, and excess Maximize profitability by working with the Product/Merchandising team on promotional and discounting plans Provide ad hoc analysis by request Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly analyses and reports as requiredBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of experience in a fast-paced planning role Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, math, computer science, or related field Proficiency in MS Excel (V-lookups, IF statements, pivot tables) Experience working on a legacy enterprise database system Robust quantitative approach to discussions Strong analytical and mathematical skills Ability to think critically and communicate effectively through data Flexible with re-shuffling priorities and willing to take direction Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities with a willingness to learn and improve processesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience in supply chain planning with exposure to inventory and demand planning Advanced functions in MS excel (including VBA) and proficiency in MS Access (SQL) Experience building forecast models and ability to articulate risks and opportunities to a wide audience Ability to build effective processes and structure through changing prioritiesPay Range: 60,405.80 - 85,786.00
