DescriptionAs a Demi Chef de Partie you are responsible to prepare food in accordance with the standard recipes and specifications in the designated area of work as determined by the Executive Chef and support the Chef de Partie by preparing, presenting, storing and serving a selection of dishes.
Key Responsibilities
\nPrepare in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service. \nCook and serve dishes according to the restaurant’s menu\nMonitor and order ingredients, supplies and equipment\nProvide direction to the Kitchen helpers, including Commis, Cooks, Kitchen Attendants and Stewards.\nClean and re-set their working area. \nConducting on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards and procedures and maintaining a record of progress for each staff member.\nRecycle where-ever possible and enforce cost saving measures to staff.\nMaintain a hygienic kitchen and high standards of personal hygiene.\nAttend all briefing\nPrepare kitchen equipment for use. \nAssemble and prepare ingredients for menu items.\nPrepare simple food items. “mis-en-place”\nAssist with checking, receiving and storing of goods.\nMaintain storage areas.\n
Job Requirements:\nAt least 2 years in a five star international chain hotel \nShould understand how to read recipes and a good knowledge of cooking \nGood communication skills\nShould be result & quality driven.\nEntrepreneurial, straightforward, leader, team player, works well under pressure. people oriented.\nPassionate for European Luxury.\n
