Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring that all claims, rejections, claim appeals and refund to patients or insurance companies are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains communications with staff in regarding changes in billing and coding. Makes corrections and resubmits claims. Employee must be acutely aware of patient confidentiality of medical information. Employee must treat patients and other staff members courteously at all times.
Performs other duties as may be requested by physician and/or administrative staff.
Must have experience in medical billing, processing denials and appeals. Must have experience involving refund process to insurance companies and to patients.
