Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) is seeking a Dental Assistant III for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the Dental Assistant III will support the department by providing clinical assistance for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry / Special Care Treatment Center. This position will serve as a Dental Assistant in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry / Special Care Treatment Center.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Serves as a Dental Assistant to assist Faculty and Postgraduate Students with patient care. Sets up and stocks units daily, to avoid delays in patient care. Reports equipment malfunction or breakdown to Clinical Supervisor. Transports instruments to/from sterilization in accordance to the RSDM Infection Control policy and protocol. Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering to RSDM infection control policy and departmental protocol. Assists with the ordering of supplies as needed. Provides translation as needed for Non-English speaking patients (Spanish/Portuguese etc). Ensures patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner, and maintain patient confidentiality. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
