Job Summary: Assists the dentist in the operation of the dental clinic.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Must create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers.Adheres to all PRH and CSD policies and procedures, and the Center Operating Procedures.Assists dentist in providing services and promotes oral health and wellness education.Prepares dental instruments.Develops and mounts X-rays.Performs Dental Readiness Exams.Makes dental appointments.Maintains oral health supplies and equipment.Maintain student confidentiality and abide by HIPAA regulations.Attends staff training sessions as required.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Minimum: Certified Dental Assistant Certification if state requirement. X-ray certification. High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of one-year dental training.
Preferred: Minimum and six months’ work-related experience.
Knowledge: Sound dental assistant techniques. Excellent record-keeping skills and computer literacy. Good organizational skills. Ability to effectively relate to students. Must maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
