Description Robert Half is partnering with a Minneapolis based client in search of a contract Dental Billing Specialist to join their team in a short term capacity. This role could also turn into a contract-to-full time role for the right person in search of their next home. In this role, you will play a critical role in leading the A/R process for a dental clinic. This includes insurance verification, processing dental claims and ensuring all correct coding, working through insurance denials and calling on past due accounts. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with Dentrix experience and be able to start immediately. Responsibilities: • Maintain a full understanding of the revenue cycle, especially in the dental sector. • Accurately process dental claims in a timely manner. • Manage dental billing operations using Dentrix dental software. • Review patient aging reports and make necessary collection calls on past due accounts. • Accurately document policies and procedures. • Address and resolve medical denials and appeals. • Handle insurance denials and medical appeals. • Maintain and update medical charts as necessary. • Oversee accounts receivable tasks as required. Requirements • 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle operations, ideally in the dental sector. • Demonstrable experience with dental billing, claims and collections. • Proficiency in managing insurance denials and appeals. • Comfort level working with health insurance companies. • Proficient in using Dentrix dental software. • Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle, specifically dental. • Excellent customer service skills. • Ability to accurately interpret patient medical charts.
