Shift Monday-Friday, Day Shift (Typically 8:00am – 5:00pm) Job Summary The individual in this position will manage the Orthodontics Resident Clinic, overseeing daily operations, handling staffing and resident-related issues, and ensuring accurate record-keeping by residents. The candidate will also be responsible for providing treatment planning and assigning patients to the residents, while providing hands-on guidance in orthodontic procedures. Proficiency in orthodontics is essential.

As a working supervisor, this role will involve direct clinical duties such as performing 4-handed dentistry, preparing instruments/cassettes, and recording exams. Additionally, this person will supervise and mentor Dental Assistants & Patient Services Coordinators, as well as teach first-year residents specific procedures, including record-taking, scanning, fitting bands, and seating appliances. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Leadership, Attention to detail, customer service, communication, teamwork, Autoclave, good judgment, dental assisting clinic housekeeping, CPR, organization, and management skills. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? Yes Preferred Education/Experience Candidates with Expanded Duties Dental Assisting experience and/or certification preferred. Candidates with experience in orthodontics dental assisting and supervision highly preferred.
