Hours of Performance:
Monday to Friday, 0600-1700 (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
Perform duties similar to those required of a government civil service Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA).Assist in complex restorative, prosthodontic, oral surgical, endodontic, or periodontal treatment.Perform chairside dental assisting, radiology, sterilization, and other additional services as required.Occasionally assist with patient scheduling or records review.Instruct patients in preventive dental care measures and apply prescribed medications.Operate dental x-ray equipment and maintain recurring reports related to dental activities.Aid in the training of trainee dental assistants and/or dental assistant students.Requirements:
Graduation from a formal dental assistant program.Experience in dental assisting with proficiency in expanded functions.Certification in radiology and knowledge of dental x-ray equipment operation.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Benefits:
